Today we’re sharing another little find that Carin and I picked up over the past few weeks.
Any kind of wood box catches our attention when we’re out shopping, but these vintage tool boxes are the best.
We’ve been known at some sales to clean out rusty old nails, used staples and all other kinds of tetanus inducing materials just to get to the box that is storing them. Most men look at us like we are INSANE–getting rid of good nails for some trashed up wood box? Ridiculous.
The box “before”:
Once we get these vintage storage items home, with just a little cleaning, they become a thing of beauty. Their uses vary. They can hold magazines, art supplies or my personal favorite:
A few vintage linens, dried hydrangeas, antlers and several bottles of wine later we have a fun centerpiece for the upcoming holidays.
I’m just glad Carin and I are up on our tetanus shots because we have been scooping boxes up left and right over the past few weeks.
