Things I’m Loving

While I was on our 15 hour drive to South Carolina I had the chance to catch up on all those catalogs that had found their way into my mailbox. They were filled with a lot of great things for this upcoming Spring and Summer.

There were a few small items that caught my eye:

I’m in love with these towels from Garnet Hill. I really want the orange stripes and turquoise dots.

I’ve been daydreaming about these lights from Restoration Hardware. But the price is a bit much considering I’d need three of them.

This gray rug from Crate and Barrel immediately caught my eye. It’s indoor/outdoor so it might survive my kitchen.

I don’t believe these starfish bowls from Pottery Barn even need a comment–they’re that cool.

Out of Anthropologie, I’m smitten with these wood spreaders – they’d look so great on a summer table full of appetizers.  I like the paint dipping on the bottom–very hot right now!

Also out of Anthropologie, these stone wear Farmer’s Market Baskets would look spectacular on my counter filled with freshly picked strawberries or sting beans. So pretty.

Is anything out there catching your eye right now?

  1. When I was in Fla recently, I spent a lot of time picking up shells (and even sand!) + found a few awesome antique marts that had perfect sand dollars + starfish for only @$1. I also found a perfect apothecary-type lidded dish that I promptly put the shells into–I’ll take a pic—it’s beautiful! And, unlike PB’s $70 jars, this was $20. Perfect. Also have been buying beautiful antique hand-made quilts as I’m changing one of our bedrooms into grandkids’ rm with 2 double bunks, will use mismatched quilts. And last—at a barn sale yesterday, bought 3 mismatched china plates + 2 small dotted vases + lightweight glass candlesticks, all for $6—will make a pedastal cake plate as a Mother’s Day gift + a double one for myself! Fun!
