Welcome…2012

I’m looking forward to ringing in the New Year a little more quietly than our Christmas. I think I’m still recuperating from the month long anticipation of the holidays. I know y’all can understand the amount of work that goes into creating the” perfect” Christmas. Don’t get me wrong; I love every minute of it and am sorry to know that the 24 hour Christmas music station is coming to a close, lights down, Elf returning to the North Pole, and allowing myself to indulge in sweets for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

With the year coming to a close it gives us all chance to reflect upon the past year and look forward to the year to come. For me it’s been a good year filled with good health and many wonderful family memories. I’m also very happy to have begun this blogging venture with Nicole…we have a lot of great ideas for the upcoming year and will share those as they unfold. I’m excited for the ideas that we have planned and for the unknown that will develop. We hope that you’ll share in our journey and look forward to a fantastic 2012 with you!

Top Ten

One of our Christmas traditions include watching as many holiday movies as we can…curling up on the couch with some popcorn, hot cocoa, a glass of wine (or two) for  mom and dad and the tree lights on…

Ready?

Here we go…

This is one of our most favorite  family movies.”The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear”.

A true classic…I find myself looking for this on the TMC channel. I never get tired of listening to Bing Crosby’s White Christmas.

Tell me what holiday movies do you watch?

ENOUGH ALREADY!

50 degrees?

50 FREAKING DEGREES?

Perhaps I should get a pool for Christmas and host a pool party for New Year’s?

Say it with me y’all – Snow!

The worst/best part? Snow is free. You can’t buy it in a store. It is the most simple and perfect of Christmas decorations. I’d give up all the mercury glass candle holders, the wreaths, the garlands even the candy placed perfectly in jars for a mere six inches of the white stuff. Yet, it’s just not happening.

I’m on the verge of sending hate mail to the weather man. A restraining order is inevitable.

I can’t take it.

I’m wishing. I’m hoping. My fingers and toes are crossed. Please Santa, it’s my Christmas Wish…
